This is a 3 day weekend for many, but, for those in retail, it is one of their busiest days.  For those who work at resorts, they are also overloaded.   This is always true in the business world.  When choosing a career path, consider this minor fact.  Some area of business has the opposite schedule.  Just think of crowded hotels when you go away and the people who work there.   Most of us rest on Sundays, But, the stores are open and so are many restaurants.  What are you doing today???

Do friends sometimes disappoint you?  How?  Small ways? Important ways?  Ways that hurt?
Do they cancel dates? Not have time to listen? Only want you to listen? Not return calls?
Perhaps they make up for it in other ways?  With kindnesses?  With being fun when you are together?  Is it enough?  Over time, which sticks more in your memory, the hurts or the laughs?  Has this person really deserved to be called friend?

Many readers are searching for jobs.  The internet is filled with advice on how to secure one.  there are thousands of sites to teach you how to write a resume and cover letter.  Some are actually good. Most are not.  The problem is that they assume you have a long enough history to fill an interesting resume.  What about those that have had one job or are just out of school or have worked several jobs for short periods?
You must tell the truth, of course.  This is easy in a letter, or interview, but many companies insist on submissions online only and won't take cover letters.
The second problem is that they all go through Human Resources, not to the dept. head who needs the spot filled.  I will address this in my next post.
